First Aid at Work Requalification training across the North West & North of England – Accredited Level 3 FAW Requalification course refreshing CPR, AED use, casualty assessment, and workplace emergency response to help organisations remain compliant with UK HSE first aid regulations.

1 | Course Overview

This 2-day First Aid at Work course is designed for those who currently hold a First Aid at Work qualification and are due to expire and meet the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

For existing First Aid at Work certificate holders requiring requalification.

Learners will refresh their knowledge and practical skills to maintain competence in workplace first aid.

• Refresher of first aid principles
• CPR and emergency procedures
• Legalities, responsibilities and reporting
• Control of bleeding
• Poisoning
• Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
• Shock (including Anaphylaxis)
• Bandaging
• Diabetes
• Fractures and spinal injuries
• Heart attacks
• Choking
• Resuscitation and AED awareness
• Head injuries
• Eye injuries
• Burns
• Assessment of the situation
• Sprains and strains
• Chest injuries
• Epilepsy

5 | How the Course Is Delivered

Two-day face-to-face course. Maximum of 12 learners. Minimum age: 14.

6 | Assessment & Certification

Assessment includes practical assessments and written test. Successful learners receive a three-year Level 3 requalification.
